I have 12 weeks til my due date and am terrified..... any advice?

I have had a pretty crappy pregnancy up until now. Had severe morning sickness that has had me in hospital a few times and now low lying placenta which means more than likely a c-section. To make everthing a bit worse I lost my job at 12 weeks! I feel like everything that can go wrong will go wrong!

I am not good at all with pain and am absolutely dreading the birth. What if I can't cope?? Has anybody else had these feelings leading up to their due date?I have 12 weeks til my due date and am terrified..... any advice?
I have the same situation i lost my job just before i found out i was pregnant and the first 4 months were horrible i had really bad sickness and cramping.I have a low lying placenta i have a scan at 36 weeks to see if it has moved if not i will be facing a c-section.I would speak to your midwife about your concerns i did with mine and she really helped put my mind at rest.Go through the diffrent pain reliefs and get here to put it in your birthing plan that you want pain relief if it gets to unbearable but remember you wont even remember the pain when you have your little baby in your arms just focus on that and just think every contraction is one closer to having your little one. Good luck hun and keep us posted xxxxI have 12 weeks til my due date and am terrified..... any advice?
im a guy so i cant put myself in your position, but i do have a daughter. running up to the birth, the only thing that you have in you power is to ensure everything is ready and waiting for the arrival. Keep trying to live a 'normal' life as best you can. If things happen, they happen. All you have to do is deal with the consequences
Lots of women have the same fears. Just remember this is 2009 and they will not let you lie there in agony, there is a smorgasbord of pain killers available to you, take advantage of them. Also just think of that delightful baby which is coming to meet his/her mummy. We have been doing this since time began, our bodies are well equipped to handle it.Congratulations in advance.
If you just think about what you will have at the end of it, that should give you the will power to go throughout the labor :)

You could get a epidural to numb the pain, but no matter what, that baby has to come out somehow.

Good Luck :)
I bet first time mums have been scared...ever since there were mums.Once you have your baby you just forget any pain and enjoy your child. Think about after the birth. Hope you have a quick, easy birth and a wonderful healthy ,happy child.
