Just be who you are ask you said he want to see you so let it be if this man love you he will come back to you.I dont know why you broke up with him going to college should not be reason for breaking the relationship if you love that person.Maybe hes reason of coming back is to settle and make sure how he felt for you or how do you fell about him. Just be honest to yourself and you dont have to push yourself over him just for him to like again.
well first start a simple conversation. then if there is an awkward silence remind him of a good memory you two shared (remember when...we has so much fun that day...)
basically it will help him remember the good times he had with you and how much hes missed you.
